Vote for Shane Osinloye

A NEW Councilman for New Rochelle District 4!

About Shane Osinloye

President of www.urbanlegacy.org

I founded Urban Legacy in December 2019, months before the COVID-19 pandemic, but we are still thriving! Our mission is to “build black wealth.” We work together with a coalition of allies to achieve this through entrepreneur support, professional training, community events and more. As a data driven shop, we work hard to reverse the trend of median black wealth plummeting to zero by 2053. Throughout my work, I’ve seen a multitude of community organizations that need stronger support to do the work society needs done.

Executive Director of www.singularityhq.com

As a small business consultant at Singularity, I have seen that the most constant needs of small businesses are cost effective space, skilled employees and access professional expertise. Through Singularity, I served the City of New Rochelle‘s Department of Development when we applied for the Downtown Revitalization Initiative grant. This resulted in New Rochelle receiving $10 million for the Lincoln Avenue Corridor. My network of entrepreneurs, government officials, and executives will join me in helping New Ro communities thrive.

Trustee at www.bethesdabaptistny.org

I have been a believer in Christ and a member of Bethesda Baptist Church since 1994, when I was 8  and a half years old.  I have served the Lord and my church as a co-founder and former President of our KORE Young Adult Ministry. I am grateful to my church for tapping me to become Trustee Shane Osinloye! There is a theme here: Whether it is in my house of worship, in my community, or hopefully for my entire city, my goal is always to bring more resources to the people I care about.

Community Leadership

Being on New Rochelle City Council will be the culmination to the full body of my community advocacy. There is a theme to each one of the organizations I interact with. That theme is “Economic Development.” In each role, my goal is to bring resources into that organization to help the community and work with that organization to bring in more resources for our communities to grow! In addition to my nonprofit and consultancy, these are additional organizations on my curriculum vitae.
